Both of these photos were taken on 27th January 2010. The catkins shown above are growing in my garden – now that the very cold weather has eased they are developing fast and the bush has a lot of female flowers on it. The ones below were photographed about a quarter of a mile from here in a fairly exposed wild hedgerow on Oak Hill.
